HCRC conducts the Bel Air Town Run (BATR) 5K as a community event to promote health \, fitness and running.  \nThe 5K race is also a part of the Maryland RRCA Championship Series of races.  There is also a 1 mile fun walk option.

DESCRIPTION:2ND ANNUAL MARK SALKOWSKI MEMORIAL 5K RUN & 1K WALK\nMark Salkowski was a loving and dedicated father\, husband\, brother and friend. In April of 2015\nMark was diagnosed with Glioblastoma\, an aggressive form of brain cancer. After months of\nfighting this deadly disease he passed away in December of 2015. Throughout his life Mark loved\nfitness and exercise. One of his favorite forms of exercise included running many 5K runs over the\nyears. Join us in honoring Mark and helping in the fight against Glioblastoma. SUMMARY:Adopt-A-Park - Annie's Playground trail building
DESCRIPTION:Ecotone\, in partnership with Harford County Parks and Recreation\, is once again participating in the Adopt-A-Park program and becoming a park steward of Annie’s Playground located in Fallston\, MD. Join us\, the Gunpowder United Mountain Bike Operators (GUMBO)\, and the Harford County Running Club (Run Harford)\, as we continue our goal of building over six miles of sustainable\, multi-use trails at the park. \nIf you would like to attend\, please meet us at the lower gravel parking lot (located on Smith Lane\, you make a left before reaching the main parking lot and playground at the end of the road) and be prepared to use hand tools. Gloves\, outdoor footwear\, and insect repellent are recommended. Trail building will involve labor and a use of a wheelbarrow and is appropriate for everyone ages 12 and up.
