SUMMARY:SCOTT SMITH MEMORIAL RUN
DESCRIPTION:Scott Smith Memorial Foundation Run/Walk (run is 4 miles\, walk is\nwhatever you want it to be)  which honors the memory of Scott Smith and\nraises money for scholar athletes in Harford county. Race will be held\nat 8:00am\, starts at the intersection of Broadway and Williams Street\,\nand then goes down the Ma and Pa trail\, loops around the atrium on\nTollgate and heads back to the top of the trail at the Williams Street\nentrance. Cost will be $25.00 as entry fee and $15.00 for Harford\nhigh school students\, and all participants get a t-shirt. Those high\nschool students of Harford County participating will earn their school a\nportion of the scholarship money which will be divided among those\nschools whose students participate in the event. Last year\, Bel Air and\nEdgewood participated and students from those schools each got a $500\nscholarship \n

It is a challenging course that follows country roads making a 3.5 mile loop to finish at the starting line. The race starts at 8:00 am. Hot beverages and donuts to follow. All race finishers will receive a Christmas gift. \nFrom Bel Air Rd: Head northwest on Rt 152/Mountain Rd. for 9.9 miles. Turn Right onto MD-146/Jarrettsville Pike and follow for 1.7 miles.
