SUMMARY:2022 Winter Adopt a Highway
DESCRIPTION:**Snowflake Volunteer Opportunity**\nHCRC will be cleaning a 3 mile stretch of road (both sides of Rt 155) located between the RASAC Adopt A Highway signs.\nWe will meet at 8:45am at the Churchville Rec Center\, 3023 Level Rd\, Churchville\, MD 21028.\nA sign up link will be posted soon.\nEach volunteer must sign the participation waiver by Feb 22nd.\nYou can find the waiver at:\nhttps://runharford.com/member…/adopt-a-highway-waiver/\nPlease email your completed waiver to president@runharford.com. Children aged 17 and younger must have parental permission and a signed waiver along with a parent on site (must be at least 13 years old to participate).\n1. Bring a pair of work gloves for picking up trash\n2. If you have a reflective vest\, please bring it with you. We were provided with some for the Highway Administration\, but will need extras.\n3. Wear proper clothing for the weather and hard soled shoes. Avoid exposure to the sun\, poisonous plants\, and insect nests; long sleeve shirts and long pants are recommended.\n4. DESCRIPTION:This is the MD/DC running club 10-mile challenge. It is a team event and every runner counts. Race begins and ends at Howard Community College. The club pays the entry fee for all HRCRC members. You must be a member to participate – it is only open to members or a MD or DC running club. \nMore details to follow\, Due to current campus renovations\, the gym is not available for use these next 2-3 years.  Also due to COVID-19 restrictions still in place\, we are not allowed indoors on the campus at this time
