This 4-mi run is in honor of Bill Blewett, who passed on 8/2/2024. Bill’s favorite distance was 4 miles. He always aspired to ‘Run Like a Deer. Bill is an icon of the HC Running Community. Besides being a National/International class runner in the 60’s & 70’s, who ran a 4:02.1 mile, he was a HS track/XC coach. As many local running enthusiasts know, Bill was the RD/Founder of the Bill Brown XC Series for kids for 34 yrs and directed dozens of Jr Olympic Track Meets for Bel Air Rec Council. Bill wrote a running article for the Aegis for 41 yrs and published “Fifty Years a Runner” in 2023.

Three copies of his book will be raffled at the Run.
