From its inception in the early sixties until 1973 when the club incorporated in the state of Maryland, Joe Lacetera acted as Executive Director (1964-1973). Since then, the club has been led by twelve dedicated presidents who have shaped the direction of our club and contributed to its growth and success.

Presidential Legacies
Many of our presidents have made significant contributions that have shaped the club we know today:
Joe Lacetera established the Airfield Run, RASAC Junior Program, RASAC Scholarship (now HCRC Scholarship), and Renaissance Charitable Foundation. As founder and first president, he set the foundation for what would become Maryland’s oldest running club.
Janet Lacetera co-founded many important events including the Bel Air Town Run, Last Train to Boston Marathon, Polar Bear 5K, Fourth-of-July Four, and Ordnance Center 10K.
Phil Anderson holds the distinction of the longest-serving president, guiding the club for 18 years through significant growth and development.
Dave Starnes served as a dedicated race director for multiple events during his presidency.
Larry Whiting served as treasurer for 27 years (1986-2013) after his presidency.
