The Harford County Running Club’s Dog Days of Summer Series launched yesterday with the Bel Air Town Run, and there’s still plenty of time to join the challenge! This free summer series for HCRC members features 13 remaining events through August 31, designed to keep you motivated and connected with fellow runners during the hottest months of the year.

To complete the series, earn 9 total points through participation in events, volunteer opportunities, and our community plogging initiative. The next event is the scenic Robin Hood Road 10K on June 8.

Whether you’re training for a fall race or simply want to maintain your fitness routine with the support of our running community, this series offers something for every runner and pace.

Challenge yourself with the Robin Hood Road 10K, a classic out-and-back road course through the scenic countryside of Havre de Grace. This community favorite offers a great opportunity to test your endurance on a well-marked route.

  • Distance: 10K (6.2 miles)
  • Course Type: Out-and-back on paved roads
  • Location: 2327 Sherwood Lane, Havre de Grace, MD 21078
  • Terrain: Paved roads with gentle rolling hills

Registration opens two weeks before the event.

  • HCRC Members: FREE
  • Non-Members: $5

  • Parking: Available in the grass yard at the start/finish area

Beat the summer heat with fellow HCRC members on this 4-mile loop course. Each Dog Days of Summer run earns you a participation point; collect 8 participation/volunteer points plus 1 plogging point to complete the series.

Location: Forest Lakes Elementary, 100 Osborne Pkwy, Forest Hill
Course: Loop on roads and sidewalk, stroller friendly
